About, how to use, and questions

What you can do

  • Source and tree stay in sync, both ways
  • Integers beyond 2^53 - 1 keep every digit
  • Errors point at the exact line and column

How to use it

  1. Open a JSON file, or paste text into the editor. Nothing leaves this device.
  2. Format, validate, or work in the tree. The source and the tree follow each other.
  3. Copy or download the result, or send it on to another tool. The same file stays open.

Questions

Is my JSON uploaded anywhere?

JSONZero reads, formats and converts the text in your browser. Drafts stay in local storage on this device.

Is there a size limit?

There is no account and no quota. Very large files are limited only by the memory of this browser.

What happens to very large integers?

Integers past 2^53 - 1 are kept exactly as written and marked in the interface, instead of being silently rounded.
